Course Description
Overview
This course trains learners in CNC machine programming and production, including sequencing operations, selecting materials and tools, programming turning and milling centers, simulating and refining programs, and producing accurate prototypes. It also emphasizes health and safety practices, proper machine handling, and independent operation of CNC machines for efficient and precise manufacturing.
Duration & Eligibility
- Duration: 4 Weeks (80 hrs)
- Eligibility: Students pursuing Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Mechatronics, Aeronautical & Industrial Engineering.
Learning Outcomes
- Analyze component drawings to plan and sequence CNC machining operations.
- Select suitable raw materials, tools, work-holding devices, and cutting parameters as per job requirements.
- Program CNC Turning and Vertical Machining Centers with accurate dimensions and machine functions.
- Use appropriate commands for tool paths, spindle motions, tool changes, and miscellaneous functions.
- Simulate CNC programs using software to test tool movements and correct errors.
- Load programs into CNC machines, set up tools and workpieces, measure offsets, and adjust as needed.
- Follow health and safety standards, use PPE, and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Independently design and operate CNC programs for precise and efficient component manufacturing.
