Course Description
Overview
The Industry Readiness Program is a collaborative initiative offered by Manipal Skill Development Center (MSDC) in partnership with Wipro and Kawasaki Precision Manufacturing. This industry-oriented training program prepares diploma students and final-year polytechnic students for successful careers in manufacturing industries by combining technical knowledge, workplace readiness, and practical skill development.
Participants receive training in manufacturing fundamentals, CNC machining and programming, precision measurement, production practices, workplace safety, and professional soft skills to enhance employability and prepare for industrial internships and entry-level manufacturing careers.

Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn to:
- Understand manufacturing fundamentals and industrial processes.
- Operate and understand CNC machining and CNC programming basics.
- Perform precision measurement using industrial measuring instruments.
- Understand production planning and manufacturing practices.
- Apply workplace safety standards and 5S principles.
- Improve communication, teamwork, and workplace readiness.
- Build confidence for industrial internships and employment.
Industrial Training Opportunities
Upon successful completion of the Industry Readiness Program and assessment process, eligible participants may be considered for industrial training opportunities with industry partners.
Option 1 – Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) Scheme
Participants selected for the DET Scheme may receive:
- Monthly Gross Pay: ₹20,901
- Approximate CTC: ₹16,561 per month
- PF & ESI Benefits
- Food & Transportation Support
- One-Year Industrial Training
- Completion Certificate
Option 2 – Internship / Inplant / Apprenticeship Training
Eligible participants may also receive internship or apprenticeship opportunities that include:
- Monthly Stipend: ₹16,500
- Quarterly Bonus: ₹4,500
- Hands-on Industrial Exposure
- Completion Certificate
- Enhanced Employability
How the Program Works
The Industry Readiness Program follows a structured pathway to prepare participants for industrial careers.
- Enroll in the 15-Day or 30-Day Industry Readiness Program at MSDC.
- Complete classroom sessions, practical training, and skill development activities.
- Participate in the program assessment conducted by MSDC.
- Eligible candidates may receive a provisional opportunity from Wipro and Kawasaki Precision Manufacturing.
- Selected participants begin industrial training, internship, or apprenticeship.
- Gain valuable industrial experience, enhance technical skills, and improve career prospects in the manufacturing sector.
