Udupi, January 10–11, 2026:
The two-day Food Carnival held at Ajjarkad Park, Udupi, witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public, offering a lively mix of food, entertainment, and awareness-driven activities. The event attracted families, students, and visitors from across the district, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the venue.
Alongside a variety of food stalls, the carnival featured creative engagements such as nail art, mehndi art, makeup experiences, and live printing activities, which added to the vibrancy of the event. Notably, DreamZone conducted a live block printing demonstration, giving visitors a hands-on view of traditional design techniques, while Orane International showcased nail art, mehndi, and makeup experiences to highlight and promote their professional beauty and styling courses. These activities received an encouraging response, especially from young visitors.
As part of the carnival, an AI on Wheels demonstration unit was also displayed, offering visitors basic exposure to emerging technologies and their real-world applications. The presence of this initiative complemented the event’s broader objective of awareness and learning.
The carnival additionally served as a promotional platform for the Manipal Skill Development Centre (MSDC) and participating schools, where information on skill development programs, creative courses, and career-oriented training was shared with students and parents.
Overall, the Food Carnival successfully combined food, creativity, and educational outreach, making it a meaningful community event that promoted skill awareness in an engaging and accessible manner.
