Interior designing is the art and science of designing and decorating the interior spaces of a building to create a functional, good looking, and comfortable environment for the occupants. The Expert Certificate program in Interior Design by CADD Center offers comprehensive training in the process of creating detailed designs, floor plans, layouts, and 3D models of the interiors of residential and commercial buildings. The certification course offered under the Expert Certificate program also trains students in using advanced CAD and SketchUp features to create 3D models of their design concepts, allowing clients to better visualize and understand the proposed space.
The Expert Certificate program trains students in tapping the capabilities of popular CAD tools and 3D rendering software such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp and VRay for planning and arranging furniture, color schemes, lighting, and other decorative elements to achieve a desired look and feel of the interior space of buildings. Students will be trained also in creating detailed drawings and 3D models.
Interior designers have a wide range of career opportunities in various industries, including residential and commercial design, hospitality, retail, and healthcare. They can work as freelancers, consultants, or employees in interior design firms, architecture firms, construction companies, or furniture manufacturers. Interior designers who have completed an Expert level certificate program and have adequate training in relevant CAD and realistic rendering software, can get some of the following jobs:
